Story of mallikarjun Temple

Mallikarjuna Mahdev Jyotirlinga It Is The Second Jyotirlinga On Earth.

Naming of Jyotirlinga:

Mallika means Mother Parvati, while Arjuna means Lord Shankar.

Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga will be established.

The beginning of this story is when Lord Shiva had a quarrel over mother Parvati's beloved sons. Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati have 2 sons the elder son Kartikeya and the younger son Ganapati. So it happened that there was a quarrel between brothers and sisters, or two brothers got married. So Lord Shiva said to him that he who completes one round of the earth will have his wedding at that time. Kartike's vehicle is in full swing and he quickly took his leave and left. Ganapati's vehicle was eaten by a rat, after which Lord Shiva sat on Mother Parvati. He made 4 rounds of his parents and told him that you are my world with me. So in this way Ganapati was victorious and Riddhi and Riddhi became sisters in marriage of Ganapati. When Kartikeya saw the wedding of Ganapati, Kartikeya got angry and went away to the mountain. After that, Lord Shiva's mother Parvati became sad and Kartikeya went to Cronch mountain to meet him. Kartikeya came to know about this. He traveled about 15 kilometers away. As a result, Mother Parvati and Lord Shiva established a Jyotirlinga on the mountain and Mallikarjuna. In the Jyotirlinga saying, it is still believed that Lord Shiva resides for 15 days of Amavas and for 15 days of Punam. Mother Parvati lives in this Jyotirlinga for 15 days each.
